20 Years of Partnership

2015 marked the 20th anniversary of Havas Worldwide’s partnership with IBM, and our sixth year as IBM’s global digital agency of record. As a founding member of IBM’s Marketing Innovation Group, we support IBM across all aspects of its transformation into a data-driven, performance-based marketing organization. We are also a Watson Ecosystem partner, enabling us to apply IBM’s groundbreaking cognitive technology to solve our clients’ business needs.
In the last 20 years, Havas has supported IBM at key moments of its transformation. We built IBM’s first intranet (1998), their Jams crowdsourced ideation platform (2001), and their proprietary eMarketing platform VRM (2004). Starting in 2010, after our appointment as lead digital agency, Havas helped shapeIBM’s digital strategy and Innovation Design Lab. In 2011, we were actively involved in IBM’s Centennial initiatives, and we designed and executed the social strategy surrounding the Watson Jeopardy! Challenge. We also helped design and build Think Academy, IBM’s global employee education platform, as well as Voices,  IBM’s data-driven social aggregation and listening platform.
Today Havas has a large staff of T-shaped, “post-digital” thinkers and designers dedicated to IBM, many of whom are embedded within IBM’s Marketing Innovation teams. We are excited to be contributing to IBM’s next major transformation as it reshapes the future of business using cognitive technology that can understand, reason and learn.
