FOCUS ON MENTAL HEALTH INITIATIVES “ A WORKPLACE THAT CARES FOR PEOPLE’S MENTAL WELLBEING ALLOWS FOR MORE BALANCED, CONFIDENT, COLLABORATIVE, AND INSPIRED EMPLOYEES. Louise Mossman – Havas UK Learning and Culture Partner even more important is having an impact on our personal and collective well-being, society and the world. Whether we’re physically gathering or socially distancing, it’s important to cultivate, celebrate and scale our intentions through healthy rituals, inspiration and deeper connection. The programme, now entirely virtual and open to the public via live streaming, features an inspirational series of talks with thought-leaders across industries, weekly wellness classes like guided meditation, kundalini yoga, employee led workshops and more. What have you learned from your programme personally? JO: We are fortunate that we embarked on the TALK programme early on. It allowed us to cope with the lockdown Laura Maness – Havas New York situation better. The challenge is how to continually reinvigorate Chief Executive Officer the programme to address the growing concerns of a protracted quarantine situation. On a personal note, TALK reminds me to also take care of my own mental well-being. LM –UK: View your mental health like another muscle, it needs training and maintenance and don’t wait until there is a visible problem before you start doing work on your wellness. Plus, there is no one size fits all approach when it comes to our well- being. It is highly personal, and it may take a degree of trial and error to identify exactly what works for you. Also, small positive changes you can apply right now make the biggest difference. We make sure all our sessions have highly practical tips that you can apply straight away. LM –NY: Setting an intention is one of the most powerful forces there is—it’s like drawing a map to where you want to go. By raising collective consciousness and even something as simple as taking time out to breathe together or insisting on building forced, intentional breaks into our day, we have an unfair advantage as a healthy creative community that is not only holding ourselves to the highest standards in business and life but has developed a real sense of belonging along the way.
